The Ampersand Pocket Notebook set contains two notebooks in the standard Qitaab Green and a brand new Magenta colour. Additionally, the notebooks also contain a new Rule Card. The Green Pocket Notebook ships with the standard ruled and square grid, and the Magenta one with an isometric and axonometric card.
The Qitaab Ampersand Pocket Notebook is a small notebook designed to be easily carried in a pocket, purse or bag. The smooth 100 gsm paper makes for easy writing with a fountain pen, ballpoint or graphite.
Now in Two Colours
This special set ships with two Notebooks in two colours— Qitaab Green and the new Magenta.
The Magenta notebook (with isomertric Rule Card) is exclusively available as part of this set.
Flexible Spine
Each notebook is built with the Qitaab standard flexible spine, allowing the book to be opened flat. This is especially helpful for left-handed writers and artists, since both pages are equally horizontal for use, without much spine tension.
Pocket Sized
At a convenient size of 160×82 mm, the Ampersand Pocket Notebooks fit neatly into most pockets and purses. Each notebook only weighs 92 grams, and does not add much weight to your luggage while you are travelling.
Handmade
Each Notebook is printed, metal-pressed and bound by hand, limiting the usage of resources and materials.
Rule Card
The Ampersand Pocket Notebook set ships with two enclosed Rule Cards:
- 5 mm single ruled and square grid card
- Isometric (30°) and axonometric (45°) angular grid card
The card can be slipped under each page and used as a guideline to write, or draw along grid lines, useful for artists, designers and architects.
The Ampersand
An ampersand is a graceful stylised representation of the conjunction “and”; its form was originally an abstraction of the Latin word for and— “et”.
The logogram on the cover of the Ampersand Notebook is a modified version of the Adobe Caslon Italic ampersand.
